FAQ:
What are the advantages of XENON
HID Technology over traditional halogen bulbs?
More light output
A 35-Watt XENON HID lamp produces up to 3x the
lumens at the light source when compared to a 55-Watt halogen bulb.
Whiter light
While the halogen light appears yellowish, the
XENON HID lighting system produces a light that is closer to that of natural
sunlight.
Increased Visibility
In most nighttime driving/bad weather
situations, this combination of a whiter color and a greater light output
allows for a safer and more illuminated drive.
Reduced power consumption
XENON HID lamp systems draw significantly less
power from your vehicles electrical system.
Greater product life
XENON HID lamp systems are designed to outlast
your vehicle. On average these bulbs will last 3-5 times longer than a
traditional halogen bulb.
Distinctiveness
Your vehicle will not only have the latest in
automotive lighting technologies, but will also have that unique
eye-catching appeal. Currently, only high-end vehicles offer this XENON HID
lighting system.
What is the difference between
genuine XENON HID lights and Xenon gas-filled bulbs?
High Intensity Discharge (HID) is a type of
lighting technology that replaces the filament of the light bulb with Xenon
gas. The gas is ignited to produce an arc of light, when high voltage is
applied. The amount of light output is three times that of a standard
halogen bulb. The lamps also glow at a higher light temperature (closer to
natural sunlight) that gives it its distinct color and appearance.
Other companies produce halogen bulbs that are
gas-filled. They still have a filament as they are halogen technology, but the
gas gives the bulb a bluer color when lit. Xenon-filled halogen bulbs produce
little or no more light output then standard halogen bulbs of the same
wattage.
How long will these bulbs
last?
HID XENON lamps are designed to last for the
life of your vehicle. They will run for approx 5000 hours Continuously .
But lights are only meant to be turn on at night , so the light bulb will
approx. last you about 5 years. Our lamp kits and bulbs are made of the
finest materials available.
Could I Install the kit myself?
For anyone who is mechanically inclined,
this installation is considered "do-it-yourself". While a typical installation
takes approximately half hour, it can vary depending on application
(conversion or auxiliary). Our kits are ready to install right-out-of-the-box
and come complete with everything that you will need. We also provide you a
full set of easy-to-read, step-by-step instructions to guide you.
Could I re-install the original
halogen bulbs after the XENON HID kit has been installed?
With the growing popularity of leasing
vehicles, a big concern is whether or not you can bring the vehicle back to
its original factory condition. Our kits install with little or no
modifications to your vehicle. If need be, the entire kit can be removed and
the original halogen bulbs replaced. This kit can be re-installed into another
vehicle that uses the same bulb size.
Will I lose the ability to use the High
beams?
For vehicles using
a 9004, and 9007 bulb for both low and high beam , you will lose your high
beam functionality.
Are these XENON HID light systems street
legal?
Every jurisdiction
has its own rules and regulations governing the use of automotive lighting.
XENON HID lighting systems that are supplied with the vehicles from the
factory are DOT approved.
NO XENON HID conversion kit available from any source
is DOT approved if installed outside of the factory. Moreover, in the U.S,
this is not street legal for use on public roads. As a result, we officially
endorse the kit for exhibition and off-road use and will only sell the kit to
be used for these purposes. We are not responsible for buyers who violate the
terms of sale while in which they will assume all responsibilities for any
unauthorized or unintended use other than exhibition or off-road use.
Our HID-Xenon products are
approved.
How Do I
know what kind of kit to order?
With so many makes, models and trim levels of vehicles it is important that
you check and make sure what type of bulb your particular vehicle needs. You
can find the type of bulbs your specific vehicle uses in several locations.
One place is the head light lens, the bulb type will be molded into it.
Another place is on the bulb itself, the bulb type and wattage will be
printed or molded into the base. The vehicle owner's manual may also tell
you what type of bulb you need for your head lights and/or fog lights. If
you still cannot find the bulb type you require we suggest you contact your
local car dealership and inquire as to what kind of bulbs your vehicle uses.
Once you obtain the correct bulb information you may order the corresponding
HID conversion kit.
Will I have to modify my headlights?
The HID Xenon Specialist conversion kits are designed to be plug+play. Our custom moulded bases will ensure you will not have to modify
your vehicle headlight assembly in any way. Furthermore, the wiring harness
that is provided with our product will plug directly into your OEM headlight
harness with no wire splicing, tapping, or cutting.
